Ok, journal migrated over here, icons uploaded for every occasion, flist being rebuilt: such_heights at IJ is open and ready for business! Though with the exception of IJ-related posts like this, LJ is really still my home, however badly it behaves.

So who's out there actually doing more than just mirroring their LJ posts? And who is *gasp* moving altogether? Inquiring minds want to know.

	LJ is still essentially my hangout. I've joined a couple of writing comms over here but there isn't enough fandom stuff here yet to keep me occupied. The great thing about LJ is its wealth of fic exchanges, challenges and prompt comms. That doesn't really happen overnight, and in the meantime there seems to be far too many Draco/Ron comms here for my liking shudder (Reply to this) (Thread)

	There's like, a total lack of Marauders-y, Doctor Who-y, and Supernatural-y communities over here. It's all "H/HR!" and other, erm, shit like that. (Though, given the asshattish nature of Supernatural comms on LJ, I don't think I'd want to be a part of them even over here.) Sorry... lurking around and this comment caught me.

I think ads will be a thing of the past once the site grows enough and the creator feels that he can charge a working amount for the paid/permanent accounts. Right now, things are ridiculously cheap, and I think that's part of his bid to gain as many LJ 'fugees as he can. Once the user-frequency builds up, he'll be able to charge more, people will pay it, and ads will go downhill. :)
